We have been measuring and decision making, questioning, and experimenting. We have measuring the length of the pools at the Glen Innes Aquatics Centre, how many metres we can swim, the longest a student kick the ball and the shortest distance. We measured the distance between Ms Tumahai's and the socket to find out how long the charger cord has to be. We had so much fun making and measuring our team stack of sandwiches and then adding up all the stacks to find out long it was.
Unfortunately we all ate our sandwiches before we got to measure the whole class.
But lucky for us we recorded our groups stacks then added them all to get the total. Watch our video clip to see how much our classroom stack measured.

ReplyDeleteI really like how you were stacking and measuring bread.I just want to know if the music was free to use? I bet it was fun making the sandwiches.
Hi James, I'm glad you like our blog on measuring our stack of sandwiches. Our music is not free our school purchases to music for us.
DeleteHi this is Jack from Karoro School,
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of the bread stacking and measuring. It sounds like it was really fun stacking all of that bread and probably would have been more fun if you got to the part where you stacked it all together. Was the music you used free to use? If not next time you should check that it is.
Hi Jack, we had lots of fun thank you. Our music is purchased. Next time I should make reference at the end of our videos.
DeleteKia ora it's Charlie here. I really enjoyed watching this video and watching you measure your sandwiches. It's impressive that overall your sandwiches combined measured up to one meter 48. Next time if you record a video make it so the camera is not wobbling as much. Thanks bye.
ReplyDeleteKia ora Charlie, yes the students were very smart and figured out to cut thicker slices of cucumber to make the stack bigger.
DeleteThank you.
